Volunteers from the Australian Mutuals Foundation had the exciting opportunity to accompany children from Barnardos Australia to the 2024 Sydney Special Children's Christmas Party held at Rosehill Gardens on the 11th December 2024.
The Australian Mutuals Foundation (AMF) proudly supported the day with volunteers from Australian Mutual Bank and Unity Bank offering to provide assistance, chaperoning a group of children supported by Barnardos Australia, enjoy a day of Christmas cheer.
The children were treated to a special day of live music, yummy food, fun rides, interactive games, face painting and many more fun activities. There was a special appearance from Santa and each child went home with a show bag and toy.
Gaylene from Unity Bank was one of the volunteers in attendance this year, remarking how worthwhile the day is for everyone alike.
“With the focus being to provide a fun day out for the children, it is also a heartwarming and rewarding experience for the Volunteers who make a real difference and help put smiles on faces of the children who attend”. - Gaylene, Unity Bank.
Other AMF volunteers repeated this sentiment noting how much fun the experience provides, helping to spread festive cheer and hope for disadvantaged children supported by Barnardos.
